BWH GERIATRIC PSYCHIATRY

CLINICAL INNOVATION & RESEARCH

Welcome to The Division of Geriatric Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry at BWH. The Division of Geriatric Psychiatry serves the needs of older adults with psychiatric conditions, neuropsychiatric disorders and psychosocial challenges in late life. The Division is committed to the practice and advancement of evidenced-based treatments across the full range of therapeutic modalities.  We have a strong research focus on the neuropsychiatry of aging and early Alzheimer’s disease and the role of social-emotional function in older adults. We collaborate with Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry as part of the Center for Brain Mind Medicine and through collaborative care initiatives with primary care practices within BWH.  Our division plays an integral role in the education and clinical training of Harvard Medical School students, BWH psychiatry residents and Partners Geriatric Psychiatry fellows.
